Magazine Covers

In todays lesson with dan, we learned about magazines and audience. we analysed the cover of Rock Sound.

we learned that many magazines are sold for the companies to earn alot of money just from telling some stories about other people or different things. 

we also learned that the mast head of the cover is the word ROCK SOUND. It is stretched across the page. it is white bold writting and has little scratches on the ends of the letters. this suggests to me that the music is loud and hard.

also the man with long black hair with many funky tattoos in the photo looked as if he is posesed whilst holding a guitar as if he was going to smash it over someones head.

also the bands mentioned in the magazine sound weird and dangerous for example motor head cancer bats, suicide silence etc. the main colours on the front cover are dark colours like dark blue or black.

on the front cover they used words like slipnot, trivium which i thought was a little extreme and aimed for teenagers, goths, punks etc.

Also they magazine is advertising free cd's if you buy this magazine, the cd contains songs from them brutall artist like suicide silence
